Why we love Boots
Boots’ slogan is ‘Feel good’ – what’s not to love about that? What started out as a small local pharmacy transformed into a high street name offering some of the most coveted brands in health, beauty and cosmetics. We love how easy it is to navigate through the Boots.com site to find the product you’re searching for, and the amazing beauty inspiration that they offer through their social media and video tutorials.
From foundation and fragrances to glasses and gifts, where would we be without a local Boots?
Shopping at Boots
In store vs. online
Boots has stores up and down the UK and Ireland, in almost every town and city. Find your nearest with the store locator. The stores have different opening times, so be sure to check the specific times for your local store.
Boots stores accept gift cards and vouchers, which cannot be redeemed online. If you need to order an item that is only available online and you wish to use a voucher, you can do this by ordering in store. You should have the product code or a product description to hand.
Advantage Card points are collected in store by giving your card to the cashier to swipe before making your payment.
Boots stores now offer customers the option to pay via Android Pay and Apple Pay, in addition to contactless card and regular card payments.
To buy products from Boots.com and to use your promo codes, you will first need to register an account. Promo codes and eGift cards are for online use only and cannot be redeemed in store.
It’s easy and secure to pay for products online at Boots.com using any of the following payment methods:
- Visa/Visa Debit
- Visa Electron
- Maestro/ Maestro International
- American Express
- eGift vouchers
- Boots Advantage Card points
Boots does not offer student discounts, either online or in store. It does allow use of NHS staff discount cards – in store only.
How to save money at Boots
The best ways to make the most of your money at Boots are to:
- Get a Boots Advantage Card and collect points every time you shop
- Keep an eye out for Advantage Card offers
- Use any Boots coupons or vouchers you receive when shopping in store
- Look for in-store deals, such as 3 for 2s or half price savings
- Be aware of upcoming sales, seasonal promotions and free gift offers
- Find and use all available Boots promo and discount codes when shopping online
Spending Advantage Card points
The idea of the Boots Advantage Card is that you collect points with every shop. Over time, those points add up and you can spend them in store or online. One point equals one penny to spend.
Spending points in store is easy – you simply say to the cashier serving you that you would like to redeem your Advantage Card points for that purchase.
To spend your points online you must ensure that your Advantage Card is registered on your account. Note that you cannot mix and match points with eGift vouchers. Once you have the products in your basket, you can choose whether to pay with points or by card.
If you are purchasing several products and you wish to buy just one of the items using your points, you can either move it to ‘purchase later’ and get it separately or tick ‘pay with points’ for that one product.
Boots Advantage Card points can’t be used on the following:
- Prescription medication
- Baby milk
- Gift vouchers
- Pay-as-you-go phone top-up cards
- Gift boxes
- Third party sites
- Optical products/services
- Hearing care
- Travel services
Boots has an online pharmacy that provides a quick-stop guide to finding you the right health solution. Here you can buy products, find information and order prescriptions online. It features a health and wellbeing directory that leads you in the right direction, as well as linking to resources such as the online clinic, Macmillan Cancer Support and appointment bookings.
How to Use Boots Voucher Codes
To use your Boots promotional code, first choose a qualifying product that is compatible with the discount code you have. Add this product to your basket, and enter the code into the box provided. Make sure you click ‘update basket’ so the voucher code is applied.

- Next day
- Named day
The company delivers internationally to 23 European countries, and offers free standard delivery when you spend over £45 in one transaction.
If you wish to send an item to someone as a gift, you can use Boots’ gift box service. All gift boxes come in elegant silver and are tied with a blue ribbon. Boots parcel delivery can be tracked online via your account – just go to ‘order history’ and click on your order number to see its current status. If you’ve ordered several items, the parcels may arrive on different days, so bear in mind that each one should be tracked separately. Orders are delivered by Boots’ preferred courier.
You will receive an email and/or text when: the courier has attempted to deliver to your home address, the parcel has been delivered, and if the order is split into two or more parcels.
If for any reason you don’t receive your parcel by the expected date, you should first check the following:
- Confirmation email
- Dispatch email
- Any other updates regarding your order
If the item is definitely missing and there is no sign of any email correspondance to that effect, then is the time to contact Customer Care.
Signing for items
When ordering your product(s) online, the page will tell you if a signature is required on delivery. If it is and there is no-one available to sign when it’s delivered, you will be left a card with instructions and a number to call to reschedule the delivery.
You are given the option when placing an order to add a separate delivery address to the billing address, if you wish for the parcel to be delivered elsewhere.
If you want to collect your item from a Boots store instead of having it delivered to your address, you add it to your online shopping basket as normal, and select ‘option 1’ for delivery at the checkout. The online form will provide an option to select your local store. You will receive an update when the order is dispatched and again when it’s ready to pick up. The parcel will be held for 14 days and you will need to show ID on collection.
Bad weather delays
Extreme weather conditions can sometimes have an impact on delivery time. If your local area is experiencing bad weather, you will be able to check if your item has been delayed via online tracking, using the tracking number that you receive in your dispatch email.

Boots Promo Codes: FAQs
What are Boots promotional codes?
They are unique codes that you enter in the ‘promotional code’ field at the checkout on Boots.com. They can give you discounts, free delivery or extra points on your Advantage Card.
Can I use more than one Boots discount code on the same order?
You may only use one promo code per order. Each code will work only for a specified range of products, so be sure to check the details of the offer carefully. If a product has an existing discount running, it will be added in checkout automatically, in addition to the promo code.
My Boots promo code isn’t working – what do I do?
Boots promotional codes can only be used once, so if you’ve used that code already you won’t be able to use it again. If you haven’t used the code before and it still doesn’t work, it could be because:
- You are not logged in to your account
- The code has expired
- The code doesn’t apply to the product
- You’ve maxed out your spend limit
- You’ve typed your code into the wrong box
- The code has been typed incorrectly
If none of these reasons apply and the code still doesn’t work, then contact Customer Care.
Do Boots promotional codes expire?
In a word – yes. All of the promo codes have an expiry date, which is displayed on every offer. If you try to redeem a code after the promotion has expired, it won’t work.
